Mangrove Lithium is proud to announce a deepened partnership with NorthX Climate Tech, which has committed a $1.5 million follow-on investment to help us demonstrate continuous operation of our electrochemical lithium refining platform, the final step before commercial deployment.
This milestone supports the commissioning of North America’s first commercial electrochemical lithium refining facility in Delta, BC, with a capacity of 1,000 tonnes per year, enough battery-grade lithium hydroxide to power 25,000 electric vehicles annually. By enabling low-carbon, scalable refining at battery-grade quality, this project will help decarbonize and reshore one of the most critical supply chains in the clean economy.
We’re proud to work alongside NorthX to build the foundation for a domestic lithium supply chain in Canada, strengthening energy security and supporting the transition to a net-zero future.
